Senior Citizen Fellowship Happenings

Tuesday Bible Studies in the Studio room (off Fellowship Hall) at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday, February 7 - Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. (John 17)

Tuesday, February 21- Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. (John 18)

Fellowship Events:

Tuesday, February 14- Pizza and a Movie at Noon in the Church. RSVP to the church office by Monday, February 13.

Tuesdays, February 28- Lunch at Italiano Restaurant in Wescosville. Meet at the restaurant at 11:30 a.m. RSVP to the church office by Monday, February 27.

Bethany's 5th Worship Service

Bethany will begin a 5th worship service on Sunday, March 11 at 4:00 p.m. Sign up on the pew sheets if you would like to attend or become part of this new worship service.

Fellowship Dinner

A fellowship dinner will be held on Sunday, March 11 to celebrate the first 4:00 p.m. worship service. Servants are needed to help plan the dinner. Sign up on the pew sheet to get more information.

Saturday Fellowship

Join us after Saturday worship service on February 11 and 25. Sign up on the pew sheet if you would like to attend or can bring a snack to share or help serve/clean up.

Join us here at Bethany in Carlson Hall for fellowship, a delicious breakfast and a time of feasting on God's Word on Saturday, February 18 at 7:00 a.m. Call the church office to give your reservation or sign up on the pew sheet.

New Member Class

A New Member Class will be offered on Sunday, February 26 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. with a light dinner following the class time. Please sign up on the pew sheet if you would like to receive information on this class.

Spiritual Gifts Class

A study on Spiritual Gifts will be offered beginning in February during the 9:15 a.m. Sunday school hour. If you plan to attend, please sign up on the pew sheet. If you have any questions, contact Donna Barnwell in the church office at 610-395-3613 ext. 18 or dbarnwell@bethanyumchurch.com.

Ash Wednesday Services

Ash Wednesday Service will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. Ushers, greeters, and acolytes are needed to help with the worship service. Sign up on the pew sheet today and your offer to help will be confirmed.

Bethany's Youth Fundraiser Nights

Chick-fil-A Fundraiser Night on Friday, February 24 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Trexlertown location. Bethany’s Youth Ministry will receive 15% of your order. You must mention Boy Scout Troop 131 when ordering.

Friendly’s Family Fun Night on Wednesday, February 29 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Cedar Crest Blvd. location. Bethany’s Youth Ministry will receive 10% of the night’s sales.

Emergency Church Cancellation Procedures

Effective immediately, Bethany is excited to announce an alternative to cancelling worship due to inclement weather or power outages. If worship services are cancelled on Saturday night or Sunday morning, a blended service at 1:00 p.m. and a contemporary service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday will be offered, weather permitting. Please continue to check the status of our worship services on WFMZ and Bethany’s website. Additionally, we will utilize a phone tree, which will update you on the status of worship services on those particular weekends. Stay tuned for further details.

Allentown Children's Project

We are again collecting food donations EVERY WEEK, packing food bags EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT, and distributing them to an Allentown School EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. (The bags go to families that have been identified by the school as the most needy.) Items needed are:

Boxes of Cereal
Boxes of Instant Oatmeal
Cans of Soup
Canned Pasta (Spaghettios, Beefaroni, etc.)
Dinty Moore Beef Stew
Canned Tuna
Canned Chicken
Bags of Rice (NOT INSTANT)
Bags of Pinto Beans
4 or 6 Packs of Applesauce
Fruit, or Pudding
Plastic Jars of Peanut Butter
Plastic Jars of Jelly

Preschool Registrations

Registration for Fall 2012 Preschool has begun. If you need any other information, please contact Robin at the preschool office at 610-395-3613 ext. 29.

Moms & Dads, Need A Day Off?

Registrations are being taken for the summer session of Mother’s Morning Out (MMO) or Our Father’s Friday (OFF). Both are day programs for children 18 months to 5 years old. They are Christian based and offer informal instruction along with crafts, snacks, recreation time, and lots of fun. MMO meets on Tuesdays, OFF meets on Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information contact the church at 610-395-3613 ext. 29.

Short Term Mission Bible Study

Come and study the Word and find out more about Short Term Mission opportunities on Monday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Parsonage. See you there.

Grocery Cards are Back

Cards from Giant, Weis and Redner's stores are now available to purchase after worship services or during the week in the church office. All proceeds will benefit Kingdom Building.

Warrior Support Group

Warrior Support Group will meet the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parsonage Fireside Room. We invite any who are battling a medical illness in their lives and/or their caregivers to join us.

ital Visits-If you, or a family member, are going to the hospital, please call the office and let us know. When you register, please use our Church Code 747. They may no longer call us, but we can ask if anyone is registered. If you have questions call Pastor Kathryn at 610-395-3613, ext. 16.
