Jim Brashear is Senior Pastor at Bethany United Methodist Church in Wescosville, PA, where he has served since 1986. A native of Uniontown, PA, Jim was the fourth of five children.
Jim was educated at California University of Pennsylvania (BA) and Lancaster Theological Seminary (Mdiv).
Before coming to Bethany, Jim served as Pastor for Uppermiddletown United Methodist Charge (1972-73) and Limeville UMC (1973-86). His service on Conference and District committees has included Board of Ministry, District Youth, and Church Location. Presently he chairs the District Committee on Ministry.

Jim has taught, lectured and led seminars on church growth and taught a Wesley Theological Seminary Lay Pastor School course titled Pastoral Leadership and Administration.
Jim's passion for Christ is in the area of preaching, visioning and men’s ministry. Jim is married to Gloria, and they have three children and six grandchildren. He enjoys running, lifting weights, golfing, spending time with family and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers.
