Dear Parents

Yeah!! The weather is finally getting nice! What a great time of the year.

Can you believe it’s almost the end of the school year…it has gone by very quickly. So needless to say our last month together is going to go by quit fast and we have a lot to do yet.

This month we will be continuing to talk about the Easter story and New Life. Our Bible verses will be John3:16 “God so loved the world he gave his only Son.” And Matthew 28:6 “He is not here! He has risen, just like he said he would!”

We have finished our addresses and the kids did a great job with them. So our next step is learning our birthdates. Some of the children already know this or at least the month, that is a great starting point. We will continue to work on writing our names correctly. This means a Capital in the beginning and lower case letters for the remainder of the name.

Of course we will continue through with the alphabet Uu – Zz. We will start working on our Garden of Good Manners. The kids have been doing much better with please and thank you so now were going to see how we can grow our garden.

Just a note on our Reading Challenge…the kids are doing a great job of bringing in their sprinkles. We are currently at 160 books we only have 90 books to go to reach our goal of 250. So keep those sprinkles coming!! Again if you need more sprinkles just ask or I will just sit a bowl of them on the bins. Help yourself.

Our Easter Egg Hunt will be on Mon. April 2^nd and our Easter Party will be on Wed. April 4^th. A sign-up sheet will be out in the hall for the party. The children will not need a basket or bag for the egg hunt we will be making one during class. If anyone would be able to help with our egg hunt, we will need three people. Please let me know if you are interested. Thank you for your help.

There will be NO SCHOOL Thursday April 5^th – Monday April 9^th. Easter Break.

On Mon. April 16^th we will have the School Bus Visit. The children will be able to board the bus and see what it will be like on the school bus next year when they go to Kindergarten. This is usually a very fun time for the kids!

On Thurs. April 19^th,  we will have the Swim Zone come in for a visit…so that the children become familiar with Swim Rules at pools or home. 

We will have are Vision Screen Test on Thurs. April 26^th. I will send home a paper for you to sign attached to this newsletter. Please return by Wed. April 11^th.

 

I will send home one more short newsletter to keep you posted about the last few days of school.
