Dear Preschool Parents,

It is hard to believe that this is the final newsletter of the preschool year. The year passed quickly! We have spent the final weeks learning about God's amazing creation, the plants and bugs. As you know, we have been also practicing for the closing program. The children are very excited.

We will culminate the school year with a craft for the moms. This is a special surprise.
We will also learn about the lights in the sky that God has created. We will focus on stars, the moon, and the sun.

Here are a few reminders for the end of the school year.

1. May 7th and 8th are the final regular days of school for the two year old classes.

2. May 9 th and 10th are the closing programs for the two year old classes. They begin at 9:30 am in Carlson Hall (downstairs).

3. All family members are welcome to attend the closing program. Please sign up to bring a snack or beverage. Bring your cookies or beverage with you on the day of the program. Take the cookies or beverage downstairs to Carlson Hall after you drop off your child. Don't forget your cameras!

Thank you for your support throughout the school year. It has been a wonderful year!

Below is our daily schedule:

9:00am Gross Motor Free Play and Activity in the Gym
9:20am Clean-up Time
9:25am Circle Time (Pledge, prayer, review of oral counting to 10 and ABC's, welcome from class puppet, "Jolly", Creation story, and Bible verse, Weather bear, etc.)
9:30am Stretch and Move with Music and songs of Praise
9:40am Story Time
10:00am Bathroom & Wash-up for Snack
10:20am Snack Time
10:45 am Fine Motor Skills/Craft and alternative activity (blocks, coloring, play dough)
11:15am Free Play
11:30 am Group Closing/Song and Dismissal

HELPFUL REMINDERS:

· Remember to bring to school a book bag with a change of clothes, diapers, and wipes. Also, bring a towel or blanket marked with your child's name for diapering. Please bring your child to school in a clean, dry diaper. We will gladly change diapers when necessary.
· School bags can be placed in the bins in the hall. Jackets/coats will be hung in the classroom.
· You will be assigned a date to bring a snack. More information regarding snacks will be forthcoming.
· Mark your child's belongings with his/her name.

Any concerns, comments, and/or questions are always welcome. We look forward to a wonderful year.

Snack Schedules:

Below is the snack schedule for the coming weeks. Please provide a small juice box for each child and a simple snack, i.e., pretzels, goldfish crackers, raisins, etc. We will provide napkins. *If your child has a birthday in the coming months, I have assigned him/her a snack date near his/her birthday. You are welcome to bring in a birthday treat for snack. If you are bringing cupcakes we suggest small cupcakes. Smaller portions are best for little appetites! Also, please provide a snack that does not pose a choking hazard.

Please avoid snack items that contain peanuts or peanut butter.
