TOWN HALL MEETINGS THIS WEEKEND as part of our need to heal and our commitment to get back to the basics and the wishes to grow Bethany at this time of transitions we are listening and believe we have heard your voice. We believe there is a need for a time for the congregation to ask questions and to receive transparent responses. We will be holding 2 town hall meetings. They will take place after the 5:00 p.m. service on Saturday, July 14 and after the 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday, July 15.
Steelhawks Faith Night Come on out for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks vs. the Carolina Cobras Arena Football Faith Night on Saturday, July 28 starting at 7:00 p.m. at the PPL Center. Tickets cost $9 each and our Bethany family will be sitting together. Kids can kick and catch on the field, there is a post game autograph session, post game testimonial and if we have 10+ people going, you will be entered into an in game experience raffle. Tickets are available at the Macungie Information Desk or the church office.
CDT TRAINING SAVE THE DATE— On Saturday, August 11 from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Pastor Gordon and his team will be running a training on the 4 Stations of the Holy Spirit. It will be held in Carlson Hall at our Wescosville Campus. Please sign the pew sheets, in the Bethany Book, if you plan to attend.
Birthday Phone Calls We are currently looking for one or two people who would like to make Happy Birthday phone calls to our Seniors. This is done on a monthly rotating schedule. Please contact the office if you are interested.
Compassion Carpool Volunteers are needed to take parishioners who were recently in the hospital to doctor appointments and to therapy appointments. If you are able to serve in this mission, please contact the church office at 610-395-3613.
Hospitality, Ushers and Greeters are needed for all services. Contact Donna Long in the church office.
Grace Café / Hospitality Donations are needed for Saturday and Sunday Fellowship time. We would like to try to get some healthy snacks: Animal Crackers, Pretzels, Cheese, Fruit, Carrots and Celery. We are also requesting hot chocolate packets and with spring and summer right around the corner, we will begin taking donations of powdered lemonade. Additional volunteers are needed for Hospitality/Grace Cafe on Saturdays 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for cleanup.
Bethany Book In each row there is a black binder know as the Bethany Book. Inside you will find special inserts, connection cards, offering envelopes, pens and weekly sign-up sheets for various opportunities and events at Bethany. Please be sure to pass the book down the row for everyone to see.
Info Desk Would you be able to come to worship service 20 minutes early and sit behind the info desk to answer any questions people might have? If interested please contact the church office.
Children’s Story Hour Join us for Family Story Hour from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the Wescosville Campus. There will be stories, crafts and other exciting fun for the whole family to enjoy!

AWANA Awana will be starting September 26 on Wednesdays from 6:15 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. at the Wescosville Campus. Children ages 2 through 5th grade will learn about God’s love, memorize scriptures and play amazing games. Please visit our Children’s webpage for additional information. A family dinner will be offered from 5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. in Fellowship Hall to help busy families participate in our mid-week programs. Sunday School We’ve started a new curriculum—FaithWeaver by Group. We’re excited to see the children grow closer to Jesus. Please consider joining our team teaching or helping with Sunday School.
Fun in the Sun Everyone is invited to come and play games and be outside. Just a fun way to spend the afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Macungie Campus. Remember your sunscreen and we’ll provide snacks and water.
Small Group Schedule Change Begins JR. High & SR. High small groups are now merged together on Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Wescosville Campus. Small groups split after food, fun, games, and in-depth Bible studies.
Friday Nights Plugged In Café JR. & SR. High is invited to attend on August 10 at the Macungie Campus from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. for a great time with friends and to fellowship with one another. Bring a friend! See you there!
2018 Bethany Church Picnic Join us on Saturday, August 11 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Macungie Memorial Park for a Bethany Church picnic with food, fellowship, games and a dunk tank! So bring your swim suit, chairs and board games and be ready for some fun! We will eat around noon.

Operation Christmas Child OCC is continuing to collect hygiene items. For the month of July, OCC is requesting donations of matchbox cars, baby dolls, and kid & adult sunglasses. All must fit inside a shoe box.
Women’s Retreat Identity in Christ is a retreat being hosted by the Women’s Ministry. Join us for a weekend of prayer, teachings, worship, fellowship and fun. $25 reserves your spot. Purls: Join this group of ladies on the third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Studio, as they stitch prayer shawls, lap robes and baby blankets for those in need. All stitched items are prayed over before giving them to the recipient. Shawls and lap robes are also donated to various nursing homes. This month, they will also be stitching winter hats, mittens and scarves for children in Allentown. ALL knitters, loomers, crochet stitchers or want-to-be stitchers are welcome to come at any time. Friday Night Fellowship Join us on the first Friday of every month from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at the Wescosville Campus. Each month features food, music, games, fellowship and lots of fun. It is a great opportunity to meet new people and to spend time with friends. August 3 is our Hawaiian Luau. Facilitator Training and Development The Small Group Leadership Team is excited to offer a Training and Development Series on Wednesday, July 18 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. in the Choir Room at the Wescosville Campus. This series is for anyone who currently facilitates a class, study or group, or feels as though God is calling them to serve in this area. Please contact the church office or sign up in the Bethany Book if you would like to attend and to reserve your spot.
Celebrate Recovery Celebrate Recovery meets EVERY Thursday from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. For anyone over 18 dealing with hurts, habits or hang-ups; not just addictions. We have found, through Christ, healing can be found. Child care is available!

Duke’s Delites Hand in Hand Ministry along with Duke’s Delites, a division of the Love Ran Red Foundation, are selling specialty hand made dog biscuits. These special treats are made with love for your furry friends. Please see our table next month in the church lobby before and after services. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) spends 100% of your donation on the project you select. All operative and administrative costs are paid for out of General Boards. Food Pantry and Allentown Children's Project
Food Pantry and Allentown Children’s Project Donations for emergency food bags for people that come in off the street is needed. Each bag gets at least 1 box of cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned chicken or tuna, fruit or pudding, chili or beef stew, soup, mac-n-cheese, spaghetti and sauce, etc. WE CANNOT ACCEPT BABY FOOD. Please no expired items. The Allentown Children’s project food bags will begin again in the Fall.
Saving God’s Children Sponsors Contribution envelopes are located at the literature stand near the Information Desk.
