THANK YOU FROM BRIGHT HOPE We are pleased to let you know that your congregation collected $3,013.93 in our Baby Bottle Campaign. Your support allowed our Door of Hope maternity home to house 13 different women over the past 12 months. Lives were saved, shelter provided and skills were taught to help these women live a self-sufficient, pro-abundant life for themselves and their children. It’s because of your leadership and the generosity of your congregation that this mission continues. We truly thank God for you and the believers of Bethany UMC.
BACKPACK MINISTRY We are once again collecting new or “gently used” backpacks for the students in the Allentown school district. Through your generosity in the past, we have provided several hundred students with new backpacks. We will be collecting them from now until September 22nd. There will be a box located in the Narthex marked “Backpack Ministry” where you can place your donation. Thank you in advance for considering this need. If you have any questions, you can contact Marci Alderfer at email@example.com or Jane Miller firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-360-5242.
TWICE BLESSED to DOUGH2DOOR Now that we no longer have Twice Blessed, people do not know where to donate their items. Dough2Door is not only feeding the homeless, they are helping to furnish homes for the needy. If you have household furniture, blankets, bedsheets, pots and pans, etc., please contact John MacDonald at 484-347-9283 to see if his team needs them. Unfortunately, they have no place to store these items so if they don’t need them at that time, please contact Scotty Coyle who will get in touch with VALOR who helps the needy veterans.

Sunday School Coordinator: Would help schedule and send emails to the Sunday School Teachers. We are currently using an online curriculum so the lessons and video are downloaded each week, save the video to a flash drive and print a copy of the curriculum for each classroom (3) and emailed to the teachers. The email also includes which teachers are scheduled for that week.
Family Sunday School Co-Leader: At 9:00 a.m. on Sundays, the whole family comes together and a lesson is facilitated. Marleah Doyle will continue to teach and would appreciate an assistant.

Life Groups Life Groups is another name for small groups with a focus on applying Bible study to modern life’s challenges. How do I start one? How do I find one? What groups are available? Where do I meet people who are like me and have the same challenges and questions? The answer to all of the above is the Life Groups. For more information please contact Scotty Coyle at firstname.lastname@example.org
Leaders looking to launch groups will be looking to find others with similar interests and availability.
