Wednesday Night Dinners! Youth Group and Awana are teaming up to host weekly dinners for families who’d like some mid-week fellowship time! We need volunteers to cook! If you are interested in contributing a meal—please email Marleah Doyle at email@example.com. Taco’s, pizza, hot dogs, the sky is the limit! Meals can be prepared at home or at church. We will give you a head count, so you’ll know what to prepare for. Help expand our Wednesday night ministry!
Confirmation 2018 Confirmation is an opportunity for our students to be disciples in their faith, in a step by step manner, as we learn what it means to be a follower of Christ at Bethany Church. Your 7th grader or older student will have the opportunity to learn the core concepts of our faith and also who we are as a church. Please sign up at the table in the narthex! Please email or talk with Jim Thomas at the sign up booth for any questions you might have.
Volunteers Needed to take parishioners who were recently in the hospital to doctor appointments and to therapy appointments. If you are able to serve in this mission, please contact the church office at 610-395-3613.
Hospitality We are looking for donations of hot chocolate, pretzels and animal crackers. Additional volunteers are needed for hospitality/Grace Café Saturdays 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m., and clean-up 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Bethany Book In each row there is a black binder know as the Bethany Book. Inside you will find special inserts, connection cards, offering envelopes, pens and weekly sign-up sheets for various opportunities and events at Bethany. Please be sure to pass the book down the row for everyone to see.

This program is Bethany’s Wednesday night kid’s club full of music, games, activities, awards and fun lessons. Kids learn more about God’s love, the Scriptures, and how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives. All children ages 2-4th grade are welcome! 12 Hour Prayer Vigil Please sign up to pray over the youth and the youth ministry as we enter into this new season. Time slots are available to join. See our Facebook Page for the Link. High School – Small Groups This is a great opportunity for your SR. High students to join in a great time of studying the Word of God and fellowship. Sunday nights 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for students in grades 9th – 12th at the Wescosville campus. Middle School – Small Groups This JR. High meeting time is geared to have a time of fun and fellowship, but more importantly to discuss how to apply God’s word in our daily life. Wednesday nights 6:15 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. for students in grades 5th – 8th at the Wescosville campus.
Friday Nights Plugged-In Café This event is a great time to gather with friends and fellowship with one another. With great food, games and fun. Everyone is invited, so bring a friend and come to Plugged-In Café on Friday nights 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Wescosville campus. There are nights for both JR and SR High, as well as Combined events. Please see the youth calendar for those dates.
Men’s Breakfast The next Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday, February 17 at 8:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall at the Wescosville campus. Join us!
No Regrets Men’s Conference No Regrets Men’s Conference is a nationwide simulcast event. Faith Church is a host site for 2018 in partnership with Courageous Men of the Lehigh Valley. This one-day conference will be held on Saturday, February 3 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance / $25 at the door, and includes breakfast and lunch. Register online at:

Purls: Join this group of ladies on the third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Studio, as they stitch prayer shawls, lap robes and baby blankets for those in need. All stitched items are prayed over before giving them to the recipient. Shawls and lap robes are also donated to various nursing homes. This month, they will also be stitching winter hats, mittens and scarves for children in Allentown. ALL knitters, loomers, crochet stitchers or want-to-be stitchers are welcome to come at any time. Divorce Care The Divorce Care Spring session begins Thursday, January 25, 6:45 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. in room 309 at the Macungie campus. Divorce Care is a weekly seminar/support group that will help you heal from the hurt. It’s a warm, caring environment led by people who understand what you’re going through. Journey Through Scripture The study of God’s word is essential to our spiritual growth. Still a daily encounter with the Bible can be difficult to sustain. This group invites you to join them on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., beginning January 30, in Room 312 Macungie campus, as they journey through the Scriptures and topical studies with the goal of growing in Christ and with one another. Friday Night Fellowship The Small Group Ministry is excited to invite you to our Friday Night Fellowship “Share The Love Party” on February 2 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at the Wescosville Campus. This month will feature a spaghetti dinner with both red and white sauces. Come on out and enjoy great food, music, games, fellowship and lots of fun. Ministry for Special Needs Saturday Fun Night Out Join us on Saturday, January 27 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Macungie campus. We will have games, snacks, food and fun. If this is your first time having your child/teen or young adult joining us, please feel free to stay until he/she feels comfortable. If not, you may drop off your child/teen or young adult off after having filled out our “Get to Know You” form. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) spends 100% of your donation on the project you select. All operative and administrative costs are paid for out of General Boards. Food Pantry and Allentown Children's Project
Food Pantry and Allentown Children’s Project This year we have approximately 28 bags that we need to fill every week for the Allentown Children’s Project plus the emergency food bags for people that come in off the street. Each bag gets at least 1 box of cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned chicken or tuna, fruit or pudding, chili or beef stew, soup, mac-n-cheese, spaghetti and sauce, etc. Won’t you please help feed these families in need? WE DO NOT ACCEPT BABY FOOD. Please no expired items.
Saving God’s Children Sponsors Contribution envelopes are located at the literature stand near the Information Desk.
Operation Christmas Child Collection Bethany’s OCC team is collecting new or like-new, clean stuffed animals during January 2018. They should be small to medium-sized to fit in a shoebox. They will be used during our 2018 packing party. There will be a bin by the Wescosville church office in January. At the Macungie campus, there is always a collection wicker basket in the corridor by the center set of doors in the sanctuary for OCC. Thank you so much! Twice Blessed is our inner city outreach store located at 931 Hamilton Street, Allentown in The Caring Place. Twice Blessed is now accepting new or gently used clothing, household items, sheets and towels. Please drop off your items at the store between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday thru Saturday.
