Meal Ministry We are looking for volunteers to handle making meals for people/families with illness or just coming home from the hospital, etc. Our goal is to have 6 teams with a coordinator for each team. This way we will be able to have a schedule and spread the requests. Sign ups will be in next weeks pew sheets. We do have a need now for someone. If you can help, please call the office.
MOPS – Help Wanted Bethany MOPS/MOMSnext is in need of childcare workers to provide a safe, loving environment for the children of our members during our meetings. Our meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month and childcare workers are needed from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Background clearances are required. This is a paid position. Hospitality Additional volunteers are needed for hospitality/Grace Cafe Saturdays 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and clean-up 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Soup Kitchen Coordinator Bethany serves at the downtown soup kitchen several times a year. Our present coordinator has done this job for two years and is ready to move on to her next adventure. The next time Bethany will serve is February 2018. The coordinator needs to schedule Bethany volunteers. Please sig up on the pew sheets.

Bethany Book In each row there is a black binder know as the Bethany Book. Inside you will find special inserts, connection cards, offering envelopes, pens and weekly sign-up sheets for various opportunities and events at Bethany. Please be sure to pass the book down the row for everyone to see.
You can still register of AWANA! Every Wednesday from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. at the Wescosville Campus! This program is Bethany’s Wednesday night kid’s club full of music, games, activities, awards and fun lessons. Kids learn more about God’s love, the Scriptures, and how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives. All children ages 2 through 4th grade are welcome! Purls: Join this group of ladies on the third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Studio, as they stitch prayer shawls, lap robes and baby blankets for those in need. All stitched items are prayed over before giving them to the recipient. Shawls and lap robes are also donated to various nursing homes. This month, they will also be stitching winter hats, mittens and scarves for children in Allentown. ALL knitters, crochet stitchers or want-to-be stitchers are welcome to come at any time. Healing Oils of the Bible Did you know there are over 200 verses in the Bible that mention the use of oils and fragrant incense? Oil in the Bible has great significance and symbolism. Join us in Room 309 at the Macungie Campus on Mondays at 6:30 p.m., beginning November 6, as we look at many of these scriptures to understand their meanings and gain new insight about oils and what they were meant to be for us. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) spends 100% of your donation on the project you select. All operative and administrative costs are paid for out of General Boards. Food Pantry and Allentown Children's Project
This year we have approximately 28 bags that we need to fill every week for the Allentown Children’s Project plus the emergency food bags for people that come off the street. Each bag gets at least 1 box of cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned chicken or tuna, fruit or pudding, chili or beef stew, soup, mac-n-cheese, spaghetti and sauce, etc. Won’t you please help feed these families in need? WE DO NOT ACCEPT BABY FOOD. Please not open or expired items.

Twice Blessed is our inner city outreach store located at 931 Hamilton Street, Allentown in The Caring Place. Twice Blessed is now accepting new or gently used clothing, household items, sheets and towels. We NO LONGER accept any TV’s, electrical equipment, mattresses or box springs. Please drop off your items at the store between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday thru Saturday. You can also drop your items off at Bethany Church at the bottom of the ramp near Fellowship Hall.
