I was born and raised in a small grape farming community in Northwest Pennsylvania, oddly enough named North East. The town was so immersed in grape farming, the high school football team was named The North East Grapepickers. I met my wife, Joy, while working at the local McDonald's when I was 19 years old. Soon after we met, we began singing in churches throughout Western Pennsylvania, New York and Eastern Ohio.

I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 1994 with a BA in Specialized Studies with concentrations in Communications (broadcast-emphasis), Music and Mathematics. It's a long story, but basically a piece of paper that says that I paid my bill in full.

Joy and I were married in July 1994 and began a year-long adventure with Camfel Productions where we traveled across the nation, setting up and running a positive-values multimedia presentation in middle and high schools. Through that experience, Joy and I were able to tour 35 different states during our first year of marriage.

After we fulfilled our commitment to Camfel, God called us to South Harborcreek United Methodist Church in Harborcreek, PA to begin serving part-time as Youth and Music Coordinators. Eventually, I was moved to full-time ministry and my title was changed to Pastor of Family Outreach to encompass all the ministries I was involved in: youth, worship and music, occasional preaching, community outreach and communications. In November 2001, God called us to Bethany to serve as Director of Music and Worship.

God has blessed Joy and I with three remarkable kids. When I'm not at work, I love to hang out with my family, go biking, and be a computer geek.
